The lighted red cross atop an almost 70-year-old bell tower has become a well-known beacon in Elmhurst, Illinois. From June 25th to June 29th, Immanuel will be hosting SKY VBS, where everything is possible with God! We are very excited to share the Gospel with over 200 children from our school, church, and community. In order to do this, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please prayerfully consider helping with decorating, snacks, craft preparation, item donation, or child care during VBS and more!

PostHeaderIcon Taking Stock in Our Youth

Members of Immanuel Lutheran Church have a wonderful opportunity: the Board of Youth is giving you the opportunity to invest in our youth and their futures!  As we all know, the vision of Immanuel is to “Connect to Christ to Care for Community.”  Part of your community is the youth group in your very midst.  You see these young guys and gals regularly in church.  They are your children, your friends, and your very brothers and sisters in Christ and the ministry!  As a congregation, part of our task is to support and encourage them in their endeavors as they grow in the faith.

So here’s your chance!  For the next month, we will be selling “stock” in our youth.  You can buy one of three shares: an 'A' share ($100), a 'B' share ($50), or a 'C' share ($25).  Depending on which share you buy, you will receive “dividends” on your investment (see below).   If you are not a shareholder, or do not receive a particular dividend at your share level, you are still allowed to participate in the events by making a donation to our youth group (except the stockholder’s luncheon).

Please remember, this stock sale is a fundraiser to support our youth group.  The primary earnings of the sale will go towards sending our youth on their mission trip this summer (see next page). Should the funds raised exceed the cost of the trip, remaining assets will help defray the cost of next year’s National Youth Gathering.
